differing cloud formations all combine in Cheyenne to provide spectacular
Wyoming sunsets and sunrises. Like snowflakes

conditions combine to make each sunset unique.
Sunsets appear as the sun sinks below the
western skyline. Sunrise is when the sunshine
first appears in the eastern sky. The time
range of sunrises and sunsets vary with the
season and time zone. Pollution, blocking the
colors in the sky, can subdue the sunlight
passing through it. The rays of the sun are
made up of a range of color shades. These
rays, depending on the different wavelengths
of light, can vary from blues to orange-red
coloration.
